Firedragon Enterprises was started in 1991 as a consulting and educational firm for the heating industry on educational, operational and legal issues.
Our major focus has always been on education.
In 1995 Firedragon also became a publishing firm. We develop books on gas and oil heating and HVAC subjects.
We do NOT provide heating, air conditioning or burner services.
We can provide business consulting to HVAC companies and plumbers.
We can provide 'expert witness' services to the legal profession and insurance companies.
Firedragon Academy Trade School also started in 1991 and provides seminars that have been developed by George Lanthier in conjunction with major heating equipment manufacturers. We are an independent educator offering a "higher degree of learning" for heating service professionals and apprentices.
We are a industry 'business to business' school and serve as a training resource for the heating industry.
We require that an applicant be affiliated with a fuel supplier (gas, lpg or oil), an HVAC contractor, an electrical contractor or a plumbing and heating contractor.
We do not accept applications from the general public.
George Lanthier is co-owner and Chief Instructor of Firedragon.
He is a graduate of Waltham Vo-Tech High School (Electronics) and the Benjamin Franklin Cummings Institute of Technology in Boston.
He has been a Licensed Massachusetts (MA) Oilburner Technician since 1967 and also holds both MA Master Pipefitter Licenses and a Master Sheetmetal Worker's License.
He was a Certified Level 9 Instructor in coal, gas and oil heating installation and maintenance with the US Air Force Reserve starting in 1973, a Certified MA Instructor in oilburners since 1975 and is also a MA Sheet Metal Instructor.
He is a graduate of many industry trade schools and programs and is a graduate of RIELLO's Residential Burner School in Legnano, Italy.
Isabella (Issie) Lanthier is co-owner and Firedragon Academy's Office Manager and Marketing Director having joined the firm in 2008.
She is responsible for editing books and magazine articles as well as all of the company's marketing efforts using all forms of media; emails, fax and postal mail.
Paul Muise is Firedragon's Chief Lab Instructor with over 46 years of experience.
He is a Licensed Oilburner Technician and retired from Pioneer Oil in Worcester.
Paul's amiable style and knowledge makes him a valuable asset to students in the lab.
